What is the Youth Rally and Mass for Life?
The Youth Rally and Mass for Life is held annually before the March for Life. This event is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Washington and promotes prayer and healing. Our youth rally is not a political event, but rather an opportunity for youth from across the country to gather and learn about Catholic teaching on life issues. Our annual event is centered in prayer and the Eucharist, and we always conclude with a Mass for Life.
Join us in prayer that we as a nation may stop wandering in the wilderness of the culture of death and enter into “life in abundance” (John 10:10) through our faith in Jesus Christ and our proclamation of the Gospel of Life.
The Archdiocese of Washington has created a pre- and post-rally discussion guide to help schools and youth groups to lead conversations around the events of the 2021 Virtual Youth Rally.
The McGrath Institute at the University of Notre Dame has produced a discernment guide to help lead conversations on the many ways that students can live out an authentically pro-life ethic. The guide offers prayer and discernment resources, as well as information on the various types of vulnerabilities faced by people across the world. The resource also includes a quiz to help students discern how they can best use their skills and knowledge to serve their community and the larger world.
